Trucking & Traveling Options
Starting a career in trucking does not mean that you will have to be gone from home for weeks at a time. Routes are now regional, which means you can work one week a month or a few days a week. There are also options for daytime and nighttime routes. Trucking has also become less physically demanding thanks to equipment upgrades and delivery options.

How to Get Started
If you have a standard driver’s license and a good driving record, the next step is to get your commercial driver’s license. You can enroll in a driver training program to obtain your CDL. You will have to pass a background check and a Department of Transportation medical exam in order to get your license.
